what the heck is it?
A new what the heck is it! Even if you don't have a clue what it is, leave a comment and let us know the first thing that popped into your head... It's fun hearing how people perceive things differently. Remember, "what the heck is it" is always an everyday object that you have definitely used or at least have seen, maybe even very often. :)

*Update* The one and only Tim Halberg got it! It's the speaker thing at a movie theatre that you talk through to purchase tickets!

looks like a speaker grill, but just doesn't seem right. Looking forward to find out just how far off I am on this one...
first thoughts -- irrigation filter or sink drain...but it looks too clean to be either of those things around here... (and i'm not sure how often you encounter irrigation filters down in southern california)
nice guesses! tim, speaker grill is close! Lisa, haha, yep never see irrigation filters down here... makes me miss HR!
I was going to guess a speaker, too. Maybe an old phone.
Ok the speaker guesses are really close. This object is very common in certain places that you go. If you can guess that place then you will know exactly what it is.
O O I know I know....he hee
Amy does know but she's not allowed to guess because she was there when I took it! :)
Like at a movie theatre... when you pay for your tickets.. the thing the lady person on the other side of the glass wall speaks through...
shoot... or McDonalds/Taco Bell/Burger King where they take your order...
ding ding ding... do I win a prize? A free 20x30 print from Blaine Franger???? ;-)
20x30 print is in the mail Tim! You got it! The speaker thing at a movie theatre is right. I guess they are at fast food drive through's too, but I wouldn't be caught dead in one of those! yuk.
While I was taking the pic this woman from the movie theatre thought I was so weird, she's like " Why are you doing that, what are you taking a picture of!?" and I responded, "I take pictures of weird things, don't worry about me". Then asked for the camera to take a picture of us... I was like no thanks I'll do it myself. Bethany thinks she was gonna take the camera and book it. haha.
Freaking awesome!
It's a drain from a designer's very modern shower.
